Ever seen the Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and JEssica Hynes British show,
Spaced? Oh good, you have. I was about to fucking slap you with your own hand. I mean, how could someone even remotely enjoy
Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, or any good, well thought out comedy and say they haven't seen
Spaced, right? Hahaha.
There have been talks for a while now that America was going to remake
Spaced for an American audience. What the fuck is wrong with just bringing the show over as it was? It was one of the best shows I had ever seen. Smart, funny, charming, witty, and character driven like a mofo. We've seen this trend before:
Worst Week, Coupling, Da Ali G Show, Trading Spaces (originally
Changing Rooms),
Hell's Kitchen, Life on Mars, Three's Company, Max Headroom, Men Behaving Badly, Queer as Folk, The Cosby Show, The Office, Dancing With the Stars, American's Got Talent (originally called
Britain's Got Talent)
, Wife Swap, Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, Whose Line is it Anyway.... and these are just the ones I can think of off the top of my dome. With an exception to
The Office and
Queer as Folk all those other shows fucking suck moldy cock.
So with much remorse I show you this clip, thanks, and that THANKS is in the smallest quotes I ahve ever written, to Simon Pegg for posting this online.
Fans of the show will immediately recognize the scene, but at the same time be drawn back in disgust. It's not the actors' faults in anyway, no hating on them. Blame the assholes who brought this over and wanted to remake it.
